To say group assignments are hard is an understatement. They are complex. Bringing a range of different people together with different views, for all to come together and complete a goal. As this was my second group assignment that I have undertaken at university, I can’t really compare it to others. What I can say is that this group is the baseline for what I want all my other groups to be.
I seriously cannot give enough credit to my group. They were all so kind and caring but also the most hard working people I have ever met. We all worked so well together, respecting one another and their ideas. If a task needed to be done, someone would take the initiative and do it without being asked. We all communicated outside of class, to inform each other of specifics within the assignments and tasks that we completed but as well to have a laugh and form what hopefully will be ever lasting friendships.
With all of our work now complete, it was time for the oral presentation. Oral presentations have always been hard for me. I don’t particularly like public speaking but being up in for the of everyone with this group, gave me the confidence that I needed to try my best as I knew that they were there with me. We shared the speaking, all doing our part to contribute to the group.
In my eyes this was a very successful group assignment. Let’s hope for the future that all of my other group assignments turn out this way.
